How
To Survive Being A Gen X A recent survey
confirmed Gen X views that they are stressed out by the pressures and
expectations placed on them by
other people – family, work, relationships, money, ageing…you name it. In such a pressure-cooker
life, we tend to forget: ·
the
needs of self – the inner self who yearns to enjoy being expressed and
nurtured. Having quality
‘time for me’ is seen as a distant dream. ·
people aren’t schizophrenic. The inner person is the whole
person. Natural desires of the inner person are
constantly at war with the outer demands of other people. If the inner person isn’t nurtured, the
outer demands burn us out. Then everybody loses. It’s not a
matter of more leisure and less work, but of more attention to natural growth and development. Our growth, self
esteem and passion for life are products of the inner person’s desires, abilities
and interests. An hour of
‘flight’ can sustain a day of ‘fight’ if, during that
hour, the inner person is allowed to enjoy the freedom of self-expression. This message may be freely distributed Only 3
