I'm Nobody! Who are you? -------------------------- Stumbled across this poem and enjoyed myself. http://www.cs.rice.edu/~ssiyer/minstrels/poems/711.html Hope ------ The stumbling reminded me to search for an Emily Dickinson poem about hope. What made me do that ? Woody Allen ... "How wrong Emily Dickinson was! Hope is not 'the thing with feathers'. The thing with feathers has turned to be my nephew. I must take him to a specialist in Zurich." ... in Without Feathers. (http://www.workinghumor.com/quotes/feathers.shtml) I'm glad I found it. But I doubt I'll be able to ever read it without a smile on my face! http://www.cs.rice.edu/~ssiyer/minstrels/poems/1382.html The Grass so little has to do - ---------------------------------- Could I be grass in my next life ? ;) http://www.cs.rice.edu/~ssiyer/minstrels/poems/341.html Split the Lark ---------------- Definitely not Light Verse. But I enjoyed it and the discussion on allusions below the poem. http://www.cs.rice.edu/~ssiyer/minstrels/poems/580.html For all the best resources on Humorous Poetry, visit: http://exwz.com To bid you goodbye you wz-ard starts to bow, then smiles, and disappears with an informal 'Tchau' ! ;) Gunjan Your Humorous Poetry WZ-ard http://www.exwz.com http://www.workinghumor.com P.S - If you enjoy Humorous Poetry, do remember to encourage your friends to sign up for it too. -==========**********O**********==========- 'Great Speaking' If you're interested in good Public Speaking Tips and Tips on using Humor in your presentations, I strongly recommend Tom Antion's 'Great Speaking' newsletter.
