Humorous Poetry
Issue # 53
September 6, 2003

Hi Friends,

Teacher's pet
I wanna be teacher's pet
I wanna be huddled and cuddled
as close to you as I can get !

My best bet
To be the teacher's pet
Is to butter up and adulate
and trap her in a dainty son-net !

This week, though a tad late we celebrate
Teacher's Day in rhyme.

Verses in honor of Teachers - Gunjan

A couple of verses I wrote for Teacher's Day

The bell has rung, your time is up
More poems for next week we'll defer,
Now close this page silently, after
you've wished - "Bye and Thank You, Sir !"

;-)

Best Wishes,

Oscar Wilde was the master of the studied insult. His jabs
at hypocrisy, pretense, and boring conventionality still have
a penetrating power. His snubs and put-downs became the
talk of his time, no less by his targets than by Oscar Wilde
himself. This collection features over 750 biting comments...
