Humorous Poetry
Issue # 57

Hi Friends,

Roger McGough's verses are always an instant hit,
Coz they sparkle with verbal dexterity & irreverent wit.

Blazing Fruit/The Lake/Vegetarians

Whatever you do, don't miss 'Vegetarians'
(especially if you are one ;)

If Roger is around make sure your tongue don't slip!

Would love to know what The Doc thought of these...

Unfortunately doesn't have too many samples or even
a bio. However if you want to know all about his
books and cds...

This week's goodbye is a custom from Bengal,
The person who is leaving will generally call
out to the host and say 'Ashi' which means,
"I'll be back" reminding you of 'Terminator' scenes.

However the words in Bengali aren't a threat,
More of a sweet message asking you not to fret
about the person who's saying so long,
Coz he'll (or she'll) be back in a song !

ASHI !

;-)

Best Wishes,

Gunjan

Oscar Wilde was the master of the studied insult. His jabs
at hypocrisy, pretense, and boring conventionality still have
a penetrating power. His snubs and put-downs became the
talk of his time, no less by his targets than by Oscar Wilde
himself. This collection features over 750 biting comments...
