Unsolicited Advice ? Welcome to the premier issue of Unsolicited Advice! ? ???The only limits are the ones we place upon ourselves.???? ---Unknown Getting Started This and future issues of Unsolicited Advice will contain information that you can use to achieve your dreams.? How can you get the most out of this newsletter and your life?? By knowing what you really want.? Some of you may be thinking you already know what you want, while others may be thinking, ???I wish I knew.???? I??™d like to challenge you to rediscover your dreams by removing the limits we place on ourselves.? You know the ones: ???I don??™t have enough time???, ???I don??™t have enough money???, ???I don??™t know how???, ???I??™m not good at that???, and the list goes on and on.? Motivational speaker Anthony Robbins suggests an exercise that totally inspired me.? He said, simply spend 10-15 full minutes writing down, as quickly as it comes to you, every thing that you want to accomplish in your life.? Include everything, no matter how far fetched it sounds and remember to consider every aspect of your life ??“ from your career and material items, to learning, travel, relationships, spiritual matters, and anything else you can think of.? The important thing is NOT to dismiss anything.? Just write it all down.? It may help you to take the approach that you have won a huge lottery and you never have to worry about money again.? What would you be doing?? What would your life look like?? Write it all down!? There??™s nothing to lose. As you look through the list you??™ve created, you??™re probably feeling a bit of excitement.? If you??™re not, go back to the list and decide if you took a ???sky??™s the limit??? approach.? Everything on your list is achievable.? I know your first reaction is, ???no it??™s not??? and you??™ve begun listing the ???I don??™t??¦??? limits I referred to earlier in your head.? Trust me, they are achievable.? This newsletter is going to show you how.? Take your list and organize it in a way that??™s helpful to you.? Hopefully this list will become one that you are working from often. ? Just by writing down your true dreams you will find the path to achieving them becoming clearer.? This newsletter is meant to be a beacon that helps to light the path. Email me with comments or questions about this exercise at unsolictedadvc@aol.com .? Your comments may be featured in future issues of the newsletter.? On the Go Most of us lead busy lives.? ???I don??™t have time??? is probably the biggest limiting factor to achieving our dreams (followed closely by ???I don??™t have enough money???).? Use the time you spend on the go to your advantage.? The time we spend commuting from one thing to another can be used to learn by listening to books on CD or tape.? Even if you can??™t give it your full attention, your subconscious mind is listening.? How do you think you learn the words to all the songs on the radio?? You usually don??™t make a conscious effort to do it, but you??™re paying attention even if you don??™t realize it.? Most libraries have their catalogs online and once you have a library card you can place a hold on any item in that county??™s library system from the comfort of your own home.? They??™ll contact you when it??™s in and you can stop by and pick it up while you??™re running errands.? Next time you??™re in a major book store, write down the titles that interest you and then check to see if your library offers it on tape or CD.? Future issues of Unsolicited Advice will feature audio book reviews, tips on affordable travel, continuing education, networking, and more! Please take a few minutes to patronize the following businesses whose owners are pursuing their dreams. Resume writing service ??“ Affordable, professional resume writing assistance on eBay.? ?
