US forces 'out of control', says Reuters chief

Reuters has told the US government that American forces' conduct towards journalists in Iraq is "spiraling out of control" and preventing full coverage of the war reaching the public.

Skywatch Commentary: The recent report coming out of Iraq is very alarming and should be of great concern to all citizens of the U.S., who want and deserve the truth in regards to the situation overseas. Such atrocities, especially those involving our own troops cannot be tolerated.

We should all be demanding very direct answers of those who are in command of the coalition forces. If the media is fearful for their lives, and unable to cover a full or complete story because they are being detained by U.S. forces, then this should be considered nothing more then complete censorship, and disregard for freedom of the press, which is one of the fundamental priviledges of our constitution.

The greatest concern arising from this report is the utter disregard for the journalists safety, and the worsening fear that our government may be attempting to silence those who attempt to print the truth about the war in Iraq. Those who make an effort to censure the media and keep the war effort under tight wraps will ultimately fail in their attempts, since we are still a nation that believes in the written constitution of our forefathers.

We as a people will not be fooled or succumb to such blatant attempts to censure the media, or keep us from learning the truth about the war in Iraq. We as a nation, are smarter and more adept to learning the truth, and will not be kept in the dark despite such shameful attempts by yet unknown forces.
