FIREBALL SIGHTINGS SHOWING A MARKED INCREASE

On. Nov. 2nd, a fireball streaked over El Paso, Texas, and when it exploded in mid-air it was brighter than a full moon. Jim Gamble recorded the event using a low-light video camera:

Gamble's camera is one
of many in the Sandia Meteor Detection Network. Equipped with a fisheye lens, it monitors the whole sky every night. "I've been doing this for five years now," says Gamble, "and there seems to be a marked increase in fireball activity [in the fall] of this year as compared to previous years."

SKYWATCH COMMENTARY: Fireballs apparently are becoming more visible across the globe as eye witness accounts are on the rise since Oct 31. Sightings in Texas, Pennsylvania, Washinton D.C. , Virginia, and overseas in Europe and Australia have many wondering why the sudden increase in observations.
Although the Taurid Meteor Shower is peaking at the present time, astronomers are puzzled by the intensity of the fireballs streaking across the sky, uncertain as to their actual origin. I have mentioned in the past that prior to the passage of The Great Red Comet, there would an uptick in meteor and asteroid observations, as well as a number of fairly large pieces of space debri entering our atmosphere from the direction of the Southern Hemisphere.

If reports continue to surface of eyewitness sightings in the weeks ahead, then I believe we should be more concerned about the origin of these sightings, and whether the possibility exists that something is approaching the earth, contrary to what our government and astronomers would have us believe.

That is why my motto has always been,"Keep looking to the skies". What we witness in the heavens in these latter days, will be a sign to all of us, that the time is quickly approaching when we should prepare for great changes.

Whether these events are the real "signs of the times" are still uncertain. However, I still believe that the time has come when we should reevaluate our priorities in life, and look more to the basics that will assure our survival in these troubled times that lie ahead of us.
