What is simple living?<br>
<br>
There s no formula to simple living, since each of us has different priorities.<br>
Simply put, simple living is about time.<br>
<br>
Simple living is spending your time on the things, activities, and people that<br>
you truly care about. Simple living is sustaining balance not the static,<br>
stable balance of equilibrium, but the fluid, shifting balance of a tightrope<br>
walker maintaining a coveted foothold on life while still moving forward.<br>
<br>
If you re overcommitted now (and who isn t?), simple living is taking the time<br>
to reflect on your values and make future commitments based on those values.<br>
Conversely, simple living is eliminating the things, activities, and even<br>
people that are cluttering your life right now.<br>

You're probably thinking that The Smart Woman's Guide to a Simple Life is an<br>
oxymoron. After all, smart women are complicated, right? True--but a simple<br>
life doesn't imply a simple mentality. In fact, smart women are the best<br>
candidates for simple lives, because they have the intellect and the analytical<br>
skills and the power to control their lives--and control is key.<br>
<br>
Now I didn't say control freak. I said control. As in, you're behind the wheel,<br>
you know where you're going and how you'll get there. If you encounter<br>
construction along the way, you work it into the plan. Since your life is<br>
otherwise simple, an extra five minutes won't unravel an already overscheduled<br>
day.<br>
