7th Annual Screamfest Horror Film Festival & Screenplay Competition takes place Oct. 12th – 21st at the prestigious Grauman’s Mann Chinese 6 at Hollywood and Highland in the heart of Hollywood. Call for Entries deadlines are approaching for new horror feature films, shorts and feature length screenplays. FINAL Film submission deadline is August 15th. FINAL Screenplay submission deadline is August 15th. Winning screenplay receives $1,000 cash and Movie Magic software. Screamfest is sponsored by Boost Mobile and Write Brothers, Inc. All Screenwriter's Utopia members will receive a $10 discount off the 08/15/07 submission fee. Please mention on the submission form that you were referred by Screenwriter's Utopia! All Screenwriter's Utopia members receive an extended submission deadline of 08/20/07. Submissions most be postmarked by this date. We are proud to say that several of our screenplay winners and finalists have had their screenplays set up at major production companies. As well, our filmmakers have garnered distribution for their films and agency representation due to their exposure in the festival.
