Hello Writers, It's David here from www.VirtualPitchFest.com and www.ScriptCoach.com. I hope you're all having a terrific Spring and that your projects are all going well! We are doing great here as VPF now has 160+ Pros looking for material! We continuously add new Pros to the site and I am very proud to announce that we have recently signed on VH1 ("Acceptable TV")! They are looking for movies and series relating to the world of pop culture. I think it's so cool that they have joined VPF! Besides VH1, we have recently added Intrepid Pictures ("Balls of Fury") and Twilight Time Films ("Californication"). You can pitch to these and all of our companies on-line through VPF with the assurance of a guaranteed response back. And, through Sunday, May 18th, we have some FREE PITCH DEALS detailed below that you can take advantage of! SUCCESS STORIES VPF and ScriptCoach clients continue to do well. Here are some current STATS: Movies Made: 3 Scripts Sold: 3 Scripts Optioned: 7 Script Comp Wins: 7 Script Comp Finalists: 10 Clients Signed: 7 And below are some recent highlights: --VPF Paul Byrne's script "Between Two Worlds" was the winner of The Hollywood Scriptwriting Institute's 2008 comp. --VPF client Nevada Grey's script "MacArthur Park" is being optioned by The Johnson-Roessler Company. --VPF client Todd Luongo was signed for representation by VPF's Barry Krost Management. --ScriptCoach client Shamim Sarif recently wrote and directed the films "The World Unseen" and "I Can't Think Straight." --VPF client Kevin Crawford's script "The Quantum Effect" was recently produced. Fore more success stories, please check out www.VirtualPitchFest.com. SCRIPTCOACH DEALS I have said it before and I will say it again: I believe that your script should be as good as it can be before you send it to any buyers and that sometimes it takes the support of an objective Pro to help you get there. Writers I have worked with have had their scripts produced, optioned, and win screenplay competitions. I truly enjoy helping writers so if you haven't sent me one of your scripts for some notes, let's get started! I actually think it's a great investment as you can save a lot of time and money in the long run by making sure you have a script that has a chance of being well received by the people in Hollywood BEFORE submitting it! I believe that many writers, in their haste or hopefulness, send out their scripts before they are ready. I really caution against falling into this trap, which is easy to do, because we all LOVE OUR SCRIPTS! But sending something out that just isn't up to par can create a bad impression and PERMANENTLY close Hollywood doors that otherwise might still be open. Trust me, I've been a development person and still produce movies! Connections and contacts are so important here in town. Even if a Pro doesn't end up picking up your script, you want him or her to ask to read your next one! Below are two special ScriptCoach/VPF "package deals" that are good through Sunday, May 18th: THE SCRIPTCOACH SPECIAL ($305). This is a fantastic deal that gives you the best of both worlds: an analysis of your script and 10 pitches on VPF. Please click on www.ScriptCoach.com for more info! THE COVERAGE AND PITCH PACKAGE ($185). This is an awesome special that provides what the studios call "coverage" as well as 5 pitches on VPF! Please click on www.ScriptCoach.com for more info!
