Ohhhhhhhhh!  Ohhhhhhhhhh!  Ohhhhhhhhhhhh!

I'm so shocked today!!! You have not voted for me to be BEST NEW AUTHOR OF THE YEAR at Cush City!  I haven't been bugging you about this because I though you all, all 2000 of you had voted and placed me in # 1.  You call me in the middle of the night saying, "The Mayor's Wore Sapphires is the best Black you've ever read. I couldn't put it down until  three o'clock in the morning. It's da bomb. It's all a that and bag of chips. It's a Black classic for sure." 

 Well, the buzz season is over and I'm up for this prestigious award. It could bring me $20,000 worth of publicity, and you know I need it, as I self published and have no money.  What good is this great novel if no one know it but us?  And yet you didn't vote.  Now what kind of support power will we have when it comes your book is up for an award? 

Now I WANT this title.--Best New author of the year!  I can just see it now.  Y'all know I keep you up to date, write up my writing techniques and sharethem with you.  I send along any good find on the Internet.  I put your events and announcements in the e-newsletter--free!  And when I ask you to vote for me,  you just ignore me.
