Hi Everyone,

The New Image Tour took us from the Four Point Sheraton in Culver City to 313 Spa in Inglewood, along with KTLA TV following us for half of the day.  Several of the authors were interviewed, and so was I. From that event, we have an ongoing monitor of the authors and their books running at all times at the spa and beauty salon. 

Friday night KTLA ran a splendid interview of the authors sharing their New Image characters from the written works shared with customers and readers. The authors were as follows:

The tour moved from the Spa to the Inglewood library, where a catered lunch was served on the patio. The New Image Writers spoke with several library visitors, and established ourselves in the LA County Library System.  We were bused from there to Crenshaw Mall's Crown Bookstore.  We had great stay and an invitation to return in December.  We moved from Crenshaw to Smiley's Bookstore in Carson.  We sang songs on the way back to the hotel to pick up our cars, and some of the authors were so tired they went to sleep.

On Saturday and Sunday, we moved from Border's in Fox Hills Mall to the Cameron Book Fair at Howard Hughes Promonade.  THE NEW IMAGE WRITERS had been firmly established as an important part of the literary community.  We were looking to share positive images of African American people, where mostly negative ones have been shown before.

To all of you, thank you for your support, encouragement, and nurturing.  We thank you for coming to the launch ceremony and sending us off on our spiritual journey. Thank Inglewood City Hall for sending representation and commendations.  To actress Algerita Lewis who volunteered to be the spokesperson because she believed the New Image group to be so necessary for the well being of our society, thank you.

 THE EFFORT WAS WORTH THE HAND WORK. IT WAS SIGNIFICANT! Until we go out again in February.  I'll learn to put up the pics before then, I hope.
