Well, I think talking about the "Art" is most of what you should be doing when you're writing the book, but when it's over you should be thinking about how many creative hours you can put in and get paid. of those is the real answer. It took me two years of experimenting with every tool and promise that hit my e-mail. I thought the world was waiting for my novel, and it wasn’t. First, I’d have to let readers know it existed and how great it was. How it was just the book they had to read--amongst 72,000 others. I found myself using every dime I had to try and make that happen, and trust me there weren't that many dimes. Just the United States alone is almost impossible to penetrate without a huge marketing budget. But where there's a will there's a way. I just had to find it. So there I was,saturating my little area, and when I turned up in another place no one had ever heard of me. After all the years I had spent writing what almost everyone said was a “Can’t-put-it-down” thriller, I was still having lackluster sales. There just had to be another way.
