Four Years of “Think-Out-Of-The-Box” Self-Publishing and Marketing research and experimentation—all in one place!

  1. 6 steps to getting your book ready.  Strategize a profitable writing career, not book sale. (wrong angle is why mainstream and self-published authors are writing lots of books and making no money). Make one book pay for all the others, and eliminate poverty from your life--erase the "starving writer image" from your mind.
  2. Based on a profitable writing career, conceive what your story will prove--i.e. anyone can write a helpful book and make money--(how to) human love is to be cherished and protected (fiction), historical events are important to perpetutating culture (nonfiction).  Know why you're writing what you're writing. It's the only way to impact someone's life.  Impacting someone's life is the only reason you should get paid.
  3. You can't write books to make money; you have to write books because you love writing and want to use it to benefit others. Since everyone is different, let's find out what YOU have to benefit others. (If you feel resistant to his exercise, you'll know you don't really love to write, and should think of something to do that you love.)
  4. Those who are left--Jot down your notes (bring pen and pad to the session.)
write your story in one sentence--beginning, middle, end
write your story in one paragraph. (do this one later)
write your story in one page. (do this later)

       5. Outline your story.  Let the reason for writing it show in the opening, the middle, and the end.
       6.  Write fast and furious for 30-90 days--or less

Implementing this plan is within your human possibility, even if you're working a full-time job.  "If you give someone what they want, they'll give you what you want." In this case, that would be handsome compensation of your writing within six weeks.

You've written your book, now you have to edit it.  This is an area where you can really mess up.  Even if you have a PhD. in English, you can mess up.  Why?  Because your eyes begin to see what they have become accustomed to accepting as correct. Now, you need a new set of eyes, good eyes.  PAY SOME RECOMMENDED EDITOR--to edit your book. The nightmare with editors urges me to warn you about that.

There are three major kind of editors--which one does your book need?

7. Decide on your publisher--POD, printer, mainstream-discuss
  •     A stand for POD--in the beginning
  •     Working hard for the mainstream as you do for yourself
  •     When you must go to the printer--money & timing
8. 10 key things to do while waiting on the printer
9. Write your "Think-out-of-the-Box" Marketing Plan to get out the gate fast and make above-the-poverty line money

11.Where to find 1M people on the Internet who are waiting to buy your book. How to reach them.

12. How to make social networking pay off

Don't miss this one.
