BROTHERS AND SISTERS! Our fourth birthday came and went... sadly, we were so road burned by the time the show came around we forgot completely that it was our birthday, having put all of our energy into playing. Now, thinking back... four years. It is hard to believe, and when I think about all the shows, people, friends, food... I cannot help but feel the deepest gratitude for the most important thing in all of this: YOU. The people that come to see us play. The people that cheer and yell and support us through times thick and thin. You have made it possible for us to come this far, and we will be eternally grateful. Come see any Amish Outlaw for a hug of thanks any time you want. To get even more nostalgic, here is a photo from our FIRST SHOW EVER, and it is our photo of the week: http://images115.fotki.com/v678/photos/8/811969/3327105/amishoutlaws_hezekiah2-vi.jpg So, even though we forgot our birthday, it was a pleasure to be back at the Sea Shell. The people there, especially the staff, are about the nicest we have ever come across outside of Lancaster (and you patrons are no slouches either!). During the day Saturday we played our first wet down. The folks from the Leonia Fire Department treated us incredibly well, and we left with two huge trays of roast beef and two bags of rolls. That, I can safely say, is a first, but hopefully not a last. Friday (I am going backwards here, I realize) at The Green Room... we had to cut out early as we had an early gig the next day so we couldn't partake in the amazing Sawmill Cafe pizza at the end of the night as usual. Sad. However, the show was better than four large pies combined, and the fried calamari from the boardwalk was especially delicious. Thursday at the Inn... like a pig at the disco, summer is certainly here and The Inn is in full swing. Can't wait to be back this week! By the way, watch for the September issue of Blender magazine coming out in a few weeks. A certain band is going to be featured in the "Weird Band Alert!"
