BROTHERS AND SISTERS! So, we talk about food a lot. I think you folks may have realized that now. With the holidays upon us, and cold weather outside, I've been embracing comfort foods of late. Grilled cheese and bacon with bread and butter pickles and a big glass of Bosco chocolate milk. Today, for lunch, it's toasted Italian bread and some Chunky Chicken Corn Chowder. Granted, not the most well-balanced diet, but oh-so enjoyable. If you have any recommendations of good comfort food to share, please let us know at: food@amishoutlaws.com Restaurant recommendations are always welcome too! Speaking of restaurants, we return to New York City this Thursday at The Red Lion on Bleeker Street. Aside from being a blast to play at, the other great thing about the Red Lion is that Sam's Falafel is right up the road on Thompson Street. Sam's is a small place, just a table or two, with AMAZING food. The Sam's Combo is my poison: hummus, babaganoush and falafel in a pita. Am I getting deja vu or have I talked about Sam's Falafel before? Friday we are at Murphy's Third Rail. We have so much history with Murphy's that we can hardly walk into the place without crying. Well, no, it's not that kind of history, but we love Murphy's and all the friends that come to see us there. Here are some photos from the last Murphy's show for your perusal: http://amishoutlaws.fotki.com/murphys_3rd_rail/saturday-november-1/ Saturday we are at a new club (for us, anyway) called PJ Whelihan's in Cherry Hill, NJ. We hear nice things about it, and are honored to be playing there. The club is just 15 minutes from downtown Philly, so we hope our PA and NJ people can come help us christen it in style. Oh, and a reminder: tickets for New Year's Eve with The Amish Outlaws and DJ Prime at The Green Room are now on sale. $35 gets you a 3-hour open bar, hot and cold appetizers, continental breakfast, champagne toast and more! A month ago he was on the MTV2 program "Pimp My Molar." Part of the terms of appearing on the show were that he was forbidden to display the work done publicly until the episode went into re-runs. Now that it has, Ish is showing off his crown equipped with rims, hydraulics and a booming "dissdem" (which the MTV network folks explained to us is slang for "stereo system"). He is very proud of it. Feel free to ask him for a demonstration at a show!
