BROTHERS AND SISTERS!! The summer months are upon us. The first day of summer is just one day away and this week is, indeed, the lull before the storm. Not a storm of the meteorological nature, but rather one of sweat, music, bar food and heat-induced Amish mayhem. We, your Amish Outlaws, have a light weekend ahead of us, but one that is sure to be fun before the last week of June into 4th of July Weekend brings the busiest time of our lives upon us. Last week's shows were all we expected and more. The first Thursday at The Inn was a resounding success! Just a reminder: we are at The Inn in Long Beach, NY every Thursday for the rest of the summer for Ladies' Night, which means the ladies get in FREE. On Friday and Saturday we played two of our favorite places, The Bent Elbo Tavern in Fort Washington, PA on Friday, home of the Big Muffin Burger, for the last show there until the fall, and it was a bittersweet parting... but the shore clubs call. On a similar note, we played The Vintage in White Plains, NY on Saturday, which is one of the first clubs to embrace the Amish outside of our immediate area. We will be back at the Vintage for a very special night in the fall (to be announced) and it will be in the regular rotation in 2007, we are happy to say! This weekend finds us back at The Inn on Thursday for the second night of what is already turning out to be close to utter insanity (in the best way). Friday we break new ground at The Bamboo Bar in Seaside Heights, NJ. We've heard great things about the Bamboo. Ladies 18 and over are welcome, and the rest of us suckers have to be 21.
