Do you have recommendations about treating Candidiasis? It seems to be more and more prevalent, and the doctor has prescribed antibiotics and anti-fungals, which don't seem to be working. What's the natural way out?" Jim writes: "I'm not sure if you can help with dogs but here goes. Jake, a Black Lab that is very dear to me has been diagnosed with Addisons disease, The Vet said he has all the sign, but can't be sure without a blood test. He was very sick for about a week, could hardly walk, throwing up etc. The vet said he had kidney failure and would die. He gave him antibiotics and an IV to flush his kidneys. Well it seemed to help a little, but Jake soon was back to square one. He was taken to the animal hospital and stayed two days. The vet said it wasn't kidney failure. He was given IV's for 2 days and a shot of percortine. It's been a few days and Jake seems to be fully recovering. The down side is Jake will need a percortine injection once a month for the rest of his life. This sounds like cortesone to me, and I know that is not a good thing to take. My question: is there a natural substance that would do the same thing? By the way, Jake is 3 years old."
