I always know God won't give me more than I can handle,
but there are times I wish He didn't trust me quite so much.
God, grant me the Senility to forget the people
I never liked ,
The good fortune to run into the ones I do,
And the eyesight to tell the difference.

Thought For Today:
Words from my buds
Hey Jim!
Watch out for those computer crashes, especially the hard drives. I had to replace mine this year too! Glad you are back up running. I love the Funnies and use them in speeches and sermons I do from time to time. I retired in May 2008, but retirement is for the birds as far as I am concerned. I would rather be working. Preachers are called, we do not just decide to work back to work.
Please ask Amy to include from time to time some diabetic desserts on your website. I am diabetic and the grocery stores don't seem to cater to my kind at all. We have to learn what we can eat the hard way. Not many diabetic canned foods around for diabetic. Hope one day the grocery stores will catch on and give us some help, as well as, food producers. Some are coming out with Splenda in them which helps greatly.
Keep up the good work! Thanks for being a Bud!
God Bless!

Yes, Tom retirement is terrible until you're ready for it.I personally don't care for it,I would like to work for many more years. As far as diabetic desserts, I'll find ya some.I'm diabetic, too among other things
See ya Bud

Jim,
Just returned home after a spell in the Veteran's Hospital in Albany. Still shaky and unable to move about as I would like but perhaps in time the ability will return. I have missed several days worth of the Funnies since my grandson checked my computer for me while I was in the hospital and he deleted all that he thought I would not be interested in. I will go to the archives and check for myself when I am feeling a bit better.
How is Amy? I hope that she has regained her health and is all set for the onset of spring and the pleasures of summer.

Good to have ya back, just take it easy to get well. You grandson did well.I didn't publish for several days, burned up a new DSL modem ,waited days for a replacement. Then spilled a large glass of OJ in my key board.T'was not a good week, you didn't miss a thing.I only put out one issue that week.
Amy's fine the family went to Florida this past week. She still has her GB but the meds worked well.
My 21 yo granddaughter,Allison had her's out last week. She's doin' ok.
***********************
A friend of mine took her four-year-old daughter to a
baptismal service at her church. Later that night, her
daughter took all of her dolls into the bathtub with her and held her
own "baptism."
As she dunked each doll under the water, she repeated, "Now
I baptize you in the name of the Father, the Son, and hold
your nose."
I was nervous the night my husband and I brought our three young sons
to An upscale restaurant for the first time. My husband ordered a
bottle Of wine with the meal. When the waitress brought it, our
children Became quiet as she began the ritual uncorking. She poured
a small Amount for me to taste, and then our six-year-old NOT SPAM If you choose to censore or delete it.The only ones hurt are those waiting on it and the people they could have helped From Carlisle ,Indiana
