Hi Y'all,

We have some really great members, and I want to thank everyone for
their help! Now, let's see if you can give us a bit more help...

Most everyone seems to really like the cooking stories, and the jokes,
along with of course the recipes!

So, we are asking, please, if you have a story, or a joke,come on and
give it a try! Post it for us! Did I say please? Oh, yeah, sorry, I
did! :o)

Since I have asked everyone else to do it, I posted one of my own,to
maybe help you get started! Read on down in the newsletter for the
story!

German Chocolate Upside-down Cake  
 
Ingredients

1 German chocolate cake mix (18.25 oz)
1 cup pecans
1 cup flaked coconut
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1/2 cup butter
3 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar

Directions

1. Mix cake as directed on box.

2. Spread nuts and then coconut on the bottom of a greased 9 x 13
inch pan. Pour cake batter over coconut.

3. Combine cream cheese and butter in a  saucepan. Heat over low heat
until melted.Stir in confectioners' sugar, and spoon over batter.

4. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes.

"This is a sinfully delicious cake! I got this recipe from someone
that I worked with a few years ago. It has been my favorite since the
first time I tasted it."

Embarrasing Cooking Story

Egg On Your Face!

"I was boiling eggs one night, and my kids were upstairs with a few
friends. I thought the eggs were done, but when I cracked them open,
they were not done all the way through.

So, I went ahead and peeled them, and put them in the microwave for a
few seconds.

I had put them on a plate, and was just fixing to slice them when all
the kids came downstairs. I started to slice one, and...
