They seem to be cheaper and it always has so much more flavor than the things I buy from the supermarket. I also think it is fresher too. -- Username KayleezMom Spray N Wash Alternative I use dish soap (as a Spray N Wash alternative). I just put a tad bit on and rub it in and let it sit for a little while and then throw it in the wash. It works great! But don't use too much soap or you will have a hard time getting it out of the washer. -- Username Kimberley Window Film A while ago someone posted in the freebie forum for samples of a window film you can use to reflect heat from your windows. My son's room is always about 10-15 degrees hotter in the summer than the rest of the house. So afterI got my free samples, dh and I decided it was worth investigating. So far we've done two of the four windows in ds's room, and WHOA- it is already at least 10 degrees cooler in there, plus the whole upstairs is noticeably cooler. We are going to do all the upstairs windows on that side of the house. I can't wait to see what this does to our electric bill. The film is also supposed to help retain heat in the winter. -- Username jnbythesea These ideas appeared in our Frugal Living Forums: http://www.mommysavers.com/forum/frugal-living.htm ------------------------------ HOT Deals: Deal of the Day: Nick Jr. Magazine Get one year of Nick Jr. Magazine for only $3.99! Just remove the door and back of the mailbox and let your toy train travel through it. Use for Mesh Onion Bags Use those mesh onion bags in the dishwasher to keep small items from getting thrown about. This works great for washing baby bottle caps and nipples. Heat, stirring, and pour over 1 lb. cooked fettucine noodles. I have successfully made this w/ half the butter, also using half n half or whole milk. Sometimes then need to add a little flour to thicken it up a bit. If you add more liquid, it would be thinner.
