Hello!

It's the unofficial last week of summer.  Although I'm ready for my

an end.

We found some great Disney Store deals this week, scroll down to

Great Ideas for Moms:

Reusing Calendars
Rather than throwing away my old calendar, I picked some of my favorite
artwork and framed it for my daughter's room. I just cut it down to fit
a ready-made 8x10 frame. Prints can be so expensive, and calendars usually
have wonderful color quality and are printed on sturdy paper. Plus, I loved
the art and hated to see it go, so now I've got it for keeps! So this
December, think twice before tossing your old calendar! -- Julie, age 38

now that we are interested in "simplifying" our lives, we should have a de-

Freezer Friendly Foods
I have two deep freezers and I am always experimenting with what does and
does not freeze well so I can stock up when things are on sale or there are
triple coupons. I thought we could start a list of things we have found that
freeze well or not so well.

Husband in the Dark
My husband is a spender, and so am I. I handle the finances and he's
completely in the dark. We have recently fallen behind and honestly the
light at the end of the tunnel is a month away if we play our cards right.
His income more than covers our bills, but he loves to buy lunch for his
friends. He always wants the best of everything and just expects the money
to be there. He works from 50-90 hours a week and really isn't around
to "talk" to very much, but should I just deal with it and fix this or let
him in on it and face the music?

Salmon Patties:
Can of Salmon, saving the juice
dried diced onion

Take the bones out of the salmon, saving the juice. Mix everything
together, using the salmon juice too. Put it in the fridge and let it
sit at least one hour. Make into patties. Fry them over medium heat in olive
oil and butter until golden brown on each side.

Tartar Sauce:
1 cup mayo
1/4 cup of dill relish
2 T. chopped fresh onion
2 T. pickle juice

Mix everything together and serve cold.
Makes 1 1/3 cups.
