I was undecorating the dining room from Parker's party on Saturday (we leave decorations up for days to really enjoy them) and came to this realization... I'm cheap! Case in point: *I save the crepe paper to make pompons for decorations for the next party. I hang them on the mailbox, front door, or the lamp post outside. *I hang movie cases on the walls to help decorate. *I wipe and save the plastice tablecloth for dropcloths for art or to use for a special lunch/dinner for the kids if they've had a good month at school. *I use the kids toys as table centerpieces and accent decor around the room. Dh doesnt want anything so he isn't missing anything, and my girls are well cared for, but when it comes to me I'm always giving up soemthing I want so that somebody else in the house can have something. I need new winter clothes because nothing I have fits. I can find a few things at thrift stores but for the most part I have to buy new and we just dont have extra $ right now. Why do moms always put themselves last on the list? Does anybody else feel this way or am I just being selfish today? http://mommysavers.com/boards/showthread.php?t=8502 To visit all the forums: http://mommysavers.com/boards/index.php ------------------------------ What's Cooking: Ramen Noodle Frittata INGREDIENTS: 2 (3 ounce) packages chicken flavored ramen noodles 6 eggs 2 teaspoons butter 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese DIRECTIONS: Place noodles in a saucepan filled with boiling water, reserving the seasoning packet. Cook until tender, and drain. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs and seasoning packets from the noodles. Mix in noodles. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the noodle mixture, and cook over medium-low heat until firm, 5 to 7 minutes. Cut into fourths, and turn over to brown the other side for 1 to 2 minutes.
