Money Saving Ideas:

Family Fun
On the back of Banquet Meals (which you can often get on sale for 1.00)
there is a free game of bowling for your family. So, for one dollar you
can get a quick meal (my daughter loves the pizza) and a game of bowling!

Cheaper Gas
We buy prepaid gas cards to purchase our gas. SA has a program if you buy their
prepaid gas card you get 3 cents off per gallon. Since I like to pay at the pump,
and there's usually a SA wherever I am, this works out great! Plus it's a great way
to keep track of your gas budget.  -- Member Meghan&Noah'sMom

Money Talk:

Adult Allowance
My dh gets tired of not having any cash in his pocket, in the event he'd
like to purchase a breakfast burrito once a week, or eat out once a week.
Does anyone here do allowances?

Curse of a Lottery Win
I just noticed that on 20/20 they are talking about lottery winners
whose lives got worse after winning. I find this fascinating.

What's Cooking:  Oriental Hodge Podge

2-3 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
1 bunch green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup peanut oil

Put hot shredded chicken in a shallow baking dish.
Cover with chopped green onions. Mix Sesame oil, soy sauce and salt.
Pour over chicken and onions. Mix. Heat peanut oil to smoking and pour
over chicken and onions.  Mix and serve over rice.
This is one recipe my family loves and it is so easy!

How Much to Pay a Babysitter?
I am wondering how much people pay for a babysitter/daycare. What are average rates? I am going
back to work 2 evenings per week and my 2 years old and 8 month old are going to a friends
3-4 hours in the afternoon and I'm not sure what to pay per hour. Also, what is the rate for a
teenager (per hour) at night?
