If one thing calls for 325, another 350 and yet another 375, set the oven for 350 and adjust cooking times accordingly. -- Member Happymom Homemade Cleaners Use one of the following mixtures to clean glass and windows: to remove soil and grease, use 1/4 cup ammonia diluted in 2 qts warm water; to remove hard water deposits and soil, use 1/4 cup vinegar diluted in 2 qts warm water; to remove extra heavy soil and grease build- up, combine 1/2 cup ammonia, 2 cups rubbing alcohol and 1 gal water. -- Member Kimberley Saving on Snacks Make your own pita chips! Anyone priced pita chips? It's crazy, they're like $3/bag. I buy pita pockets on the 40% off bakery clearance at my Walmart store (about $.98/package). I cut them open, brush w/extra virgin olive oil then sprinkle w/garlic powder and Parmesan. I bake them at 350 until crispy. For 98 cents I get more than double or triple the amount of pita chips that cost over $3 bag where I live. Serve immediately. You can also add red pepper (which I don't like) and black or kalamata olives (which DH doesn't like).
