Money Saving Ideas:

Designate a No-Driving Day
Pick one day a week where you are not going to drive anywhere. You don't spend
money on gas that day, and unless you are going to walk/ride bike/take bus to do
an errand you aren't going to spend any money either. -- Member Deemom

Another Use for Vinegar
Freeze ice cubes of vinegar and them put some down your garbage disposal to sanitize
and refresh. -- Member ericklar

Date Night
Our favorite date nights are right here at home. My mom takes the kids on overnighters once
in awhile. That gives us time to cook a meal together. We pour a glass of wine while we are
cooking and actually talk to one another uninterupted. It's a great way to reconnect. Then we
serve dinner like we are at a restaurant, candles, table cloth, music or if it's summertime out
on the patio. We usually rent a movie and cuddle on the couch. -- Member treehugger

Save Money at the Grocery Store

1. Stick to a list
2. Plan your menu around the sale ads.
3. Don't shop hungry.
4. Use a pricebook (I have to update mine with all the prices going up )
5. Try and shop without the kids or significant other.
6. Buy generic or store brand.
7. Plan a meatless meal once a week. Breakfast items are cheap to make.
8. Don't buy convenience/prepackaged foods. Make as much as you can from scratch.
9. Shop places like Aldi's or Save-a-Lot.
10. Walmart will price match other ad's. Some will match generic product for their generic product.
11. Coupons.
12. Buy fruit/vegetables in season.
13. Don't buy household or personal products at grocery stores. You can almost always find them cheaper at Target, Walmart, etc.

Money Talk:

Should U.S. Wealth be Redistributed?
Should U.S. wealth be redistributed from the richest to the poorest? If yes, how do you think it
should be done? If no, do you think the current tax system is fair and why?

Tired of Collections for Work
I am so tired of all these collections for work (someone gets married, tranfers, retires, holidays,
etc). I easily spent $100 - 150 on these things during this past school year. Ideas?
