Mommysavers Newsletter - July 26, 2007 Visit our site for more great resources: http://www.mommysavers.com "I don't care how poor a man is; if he has family, he's rich." -- Dan Wilcox and Thad Mumford, "Identity Crisis," M*A*S*H ============================================================== Hello! I'm catching up on things with a mid-week newsletter, but the timing couldn't be better. Amazon has clearanced out more toys, and when they do they usually sell out fast (or raise prices). Here are the deals our member Julieinmn found: http://mommysavers.com/boards/online-bargains/41293-amazons-toys-some-less-then-5-a.html Have a great weekend, Kim ------------------------------ Please Visit Our Sponsors: Motivated Moms Learn to operate a Mini-Office Outlet from home. There will be tons left. I also use an old spatula for lotions that don't "slip" well and clean out the inside just as you would a jar of peanut butter. It will last for days. -- Member Adda15 Homemade Toilet Bowl Cleaner Vinegar and baking soda is what I usually use. Not only is it safe for the septic system (and environment) but the vinegar is a disinfectant. You're going to think I'm crazy, but I've also heard that pouring flat Coke in the bowl (like the last of what's left in a two liter) will also work. The carbonation and acids in the Coke will eat away at any stains. Leave for an hour, scrub, then flush. -- Member Luvmysoldier Water Games for Kids My kids play dodgeball with wet sponges. Same rules as dodgeball. It is really fun and everyone gets wet and cools off. Beings they are getting hit with a sponge it is a little less lethal as oppose to getting hit with a ball. The summer rec group is all 4 & 5 year olds, so they dont usually hit hard. I would just explain to older kids to be careful. -- Member araefinn These ideas were posted here: http://mommysavers.com/boards/spending-less-saving-more/ ------------------------------ Receive a FREE Senseo® Coffee Pod System!
