Mommysavers Newsletter - August 20, 2007 Visit our site for more great resources: http://www.mommysavers.com "Parents are not interested in justice; they are interested in quiet." -- Bill Cosby ============================================================== Hello! Our resident bargain hunter, Julie, comes through again this week with another great selection of toys on sale at Amazon.com. Her picks can be seen right here: http://mommysavers.com/boards/online-bargains/44156-still-many-great-toy-deals-amazon-70-off-toys.html Have a great week, Kim ------------------------------ Please Visit Our Sponsors: Trying to lose weight? Limit the number of times your family eats out-set a budget and stick to it. 2. Use coupons from the Sunday paper, mailings, or we have a weekly little newspaper called The Pennysaver and it has coupons. 3. Some restaurants have a certain day where kids eat free. 4. Order water, skip the pop--huge markup. 5. Take home leftovers for lunch the next day. 6. Breakfast items tend to be cheaper. 7. Chinese food is cheaper at lunch than at supper in most places. 8. Order from the sides menu or ala carte if you aren't that hungry. Smaller portions and cheaper prices. -- Member Deemom For more ideas: http://mommysavers.com/boards/money-saving-tips-entertainment/38304-save-money-while-you-eat-out.html Depression Era Tips I was just thinking about my granny last night as I opened a package of meat. She used to keep the styrofoam trays that the meat came on and use them as paper plates. She made all their clothing (even slips!), bedding and tablecloths. When something had worn out, she made quilts out them. My sister and I got one out of my linen closet at christmas, and was remembering what each little piece was from (her apron, a dress that one of us had outgrown, one of my papaw's shirts). It brings back sweet memories. -- Member sshallenbu For more money saving ideas visit: http://mommysavers.com/boards/spending-less-saving-more/ ------------------------------ Hot Deals: FREE Photo Book from Picaboo- $40 Value! http://mommysavers.com/boards/online-bargains/44673-free-photobook-picaboo-still-going.html Joann.com 2 days only- Online Sale & Free shipping on $20+ order http://mommysavers.com/boards/online-bargains/44678-joann-com-2-days-only-online-sale-free-shipping-20-order.html Disney Store Deals Check out their sales + coupon codes http://mommysavers.com/boards/online-bargains/44676-disney-store-deals.html JCPenney.com Hottest Sale at Jcpenney Expires 8/20 + free shipping on $99+ orders http://mommysavers.com/boards/online-bargains/44677-hottest-sale-jcpenney-expires-8-20-free-shipping-99-orders.html Stride Rite Under $15/pair on Amazon! http://mommysavers.com/boards/online-bargains/44364-hot-stride-rites-little-laundry-under-15-again-amazon.html Classic Closeouts Free Shipping on Orders of $40 or more Get $10 off any order of $50 or more http://mommysavers.com/boards/online-bargains/44511-classic-closeouts.html For all the online bargains: http://mommysavers.com/boards/online-bargains/ ------------------------------ Deals for Moms: Get 25-40% off any order from the #1 SkinCare, Makeup and Beauty Company!
