Use Craigslist for Vacation Deals
We are going on a trip to Las Vegas so what I did was put a post for
coupons for the LV area. I posted a request on the LV Craigslist, as I did
the same when we planned on visiting San Diego. I know lots of locals dont
use car rentals or hotel coupons too often so they sent whatever they had.
It was so easy and free. You can do this for any place you visit, just go to
craigslist.org - to that particular city and post. -- Member Alex's Mommy
Make Lists - No, SEVERAL Lists
I keep a couple of magnetic notepads on my refrigerator. I normally know
which store has the best prices but I can't always remember what I need to
buy when I get there! (That happens as you get older, you know!) I have one
notepad for Wal-Mart, one for the dollar store, one for my local grocery
store, and one for Goodwill or my local consignment shop. Never will I spend
$7 again for a shower curtain liner because I forgot to pick one up at the

Frugal Recipes

Beer Cheese Dip
2 Cups shredded Cheddar cheese
2 Pkgs/8 Oz. cream cheese, softened
1 Pkt. Hidden Valley Ranch Dip mix
1/2 Cup To 3/4 C. beer
Chopped green onions, shredded cheese for garnish
Combine Cheddar cheese, cream cheese and dip mix in medium bowl. Gradually
stir in beer until mixture reaches desired consistency. Garnish with green
onions and additional shredded cheese. Serve with pretzels, chips, crackers
