Money Saving Ideas

Wholesale Club Savings My friend and I have been taking turns buying a membership to a Wholesale Club. She'll buy the membership on year and we'll shop together or she'll pick up things I'm in need of. We'll stock up a few weeks before the membership expires, then when we're due for a trip, I'll buy the membership. This has worked great for us for a few years now! -- Member Z&E'sMommy

Take Advantage of Rebate Programs  I do this monthly at my local Walgreen's store. Plus at Walgreen's you can use their coupons and manufacturers' coupons at the same time. Other company rebates can take months to get, this only takes a few weeks. They send you a postcard to let you know when your gift card card has been reloaded and how much was put on it (you get an additional 10% for reloading your card/getting paid back with a gift card instead of taking a check).  I "recycle" this money monthly on rebate items that appeal to me, so it's like I'm not even spending anything to get those items.  -- Member Alex'smommy

Saving Money on Meat Ask your local grocery store when they mark down their meats during the week, the ones that are almost to their due date. Ours here in town is Tuesday mornings. That way you get great cuts of meat for almost half the price. You just bring it home and put it in the freezer if you are not going to use it right away. Most of the meat at ours is marked down to 1.00-2.00 per lb. -- Member MIssyfromMN
