Money Saving Ideas

Kids Eat Free Nights Here in PA our local Denny's restaurant has a kids eat free night every Tuesday and on occasional Saturdays. They also always have coupons in the paper for stuff like $5.00 off your total guest check etc. We just had dinner there last Tuesday night and for all four of us it was a total of $12. I could hardly make a really nice dinner for that, and we left there stuffed!

Save Time in the Kitchen One thing that I have found to be helpful is to cook double whatever it is that we are having for dinner and throw the other half into the freezer for one of those nights I really don't want to cook. It helps when we get home late and everyone's hungry. If you freeze meals in zip lock bags they store pretty easy in the freezer and defrost pretty fast too.  -- Member maassl

Cleaning Wood/Laminate Floors When I use a mop, I put 1 cup of vinegar per 1 gallon of water.  What I usually do is get on my hands and knees and spray my 50% vinegar and 50% water spray bottle over a section, then wipe it with a clean towel. (I bought a packet of white terry cloth shop towels that I use for cleaning only.)  -- Member ChickyHip
