Money Saving Ideas

Homemade Cleaning Solutions I mix vinegar and water in a spray bottle and use that to clean pretty much everything--windows, countertops, bathrooms, etc.   I use a mix of olive or vegetable oil with a few drops of lemon oil to polish wood furniture.  I sprinkle baking soda on carpets before I vacuum to deodorize them. -- Member babydogs3

Saving on Meat I buy chicken breasts in the larger frozen bags. I get frozen orange roughy or salmon from Aldi. When my grocery store has a good sale on ground beef I buy a bunch of 1 lb packages and freeze them. -- Member deemom

Generic Diapers & Formula  I loved Target brand diapers and both my kids used them and Luvs (the cheapest but as far as I am concerned on of the best!). All formula is the same (with the exception of soy, extra iron, etc) By law it must be FDA regulated, so whether it is Enfamil or Parents Choice it MUST meet FDA regulations. My kids both started out on Similac and then went to Target brand...there was absolutely no difference except in the price. -- Member 2bearsmom
