Editor's Note

Hello from Mommysavers!                                                                  3.17.2008

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Even though we're not Irish, we celebrated with corned beef and cabbage last night.  Yum!

For those of you wanting to jump start your workout routine, be sure to tune in tomorrow for a chat with personal trainer, Ironman (and also my little brother) Brad Vajgrt

Have a great week,

Kim

Money Saving Ideas

Frugal Easter Baskets We reuse the baskets and the plastic eggs and look for deals on candy to fill the eggs with.  I shop at Dollar Tree for little notebooks, pencils, puzzles, coloring books, the fake grass, jump rope, and bubbles.  I also look at the Target $1.00 section for items. -- Member deemom

Vacation Savings Entertainment books are a great way to save, and offer hotel, event, and restaurant discounts by geographic area.  In most cases, you’ll find they’re well worth their price.  The current books often get discounted as the year goes on, so you may be able to get the actual book at a discount as well.  Click here to get the 2008 book at 50% off

Inexpensive Souvenirs  I've also heard that the best place to buy souvenirs in a town where a major attraction or vacation spot is - is at mass merchandise, big box, dollar stores, or even convenience stores. And like in Panama City, FL. for instance, you can go to the beach and buy an airbrushed T-shirt OR pay half that amount and get one airbrushed right in the middle Walmart!! They actually have (or at least they did have...) a whole souvenir section there. -- Member LuvMySoldier
