Summer Library Programs
I picked up a pamphlet today at one of our libraries about their free
programs they have planned. They have the summer reading program where
they can earn coupons, prizes, and they are giving away a bike. At the end
of the summer they have a picnic at the park where they have free food,
crafts, face painting, etc. In the past they have also given out free passes
to the Children's Museum when you sign up. They also have weekly story
time and craft time.

Garage Sales
Advertise: make sure you include some "teaser" items such as
brand names (Gymboree, Little Tikes, etc.) in your ad that are highly
desirable. Display: Don't crowd tables. If it's too hard to weed
through your stuff, some people won't bother. Try to hang clothing if at all
possible for higher perceived value. Marking: Only price items in
increments of $.25. If you mark things a nickel or a dime, it makes making
change much more complicated. --
