Hello!

Just one more week before we close on our new house and we're getting pretty excited.
I'm anxious to start decorating the new house.  I'd love to hear some creative,
inexpensive decorating tips from our readers.  Send them my way, and I'll include them
in upcoming newsletters as well.  http://www.mommysavers.com/share_tips.htm

Have a good week!

Money/Time Saving Ideas:

Preserving Memories
To remember funny things my kids say or do, I write it down where ever I am
on what ever is handy.  It can be a scrap paper or newspaper, it doesn't
matter.  I write the name and age of the child and put it in one of my
crystal bowls I got for a wedding present.  I love going through them and
remembering what they have said, we sure get a lot of laughs out of it.  My
3 daughters love going through the bowl and reading all of the things they
have done or said.  It is my favorite keep sake, I also ask friends and
family to add things they have heard my children say, it is really neat to
have Grandma and Grandpa's writing in the bowl too. -- Kim, 30, from MN

Travel
I was able to take my 7 year old to NYC last week because while I was
surfing the net looking for the cheapest way for me to go, I discovered that
for every adult ticket purchased with a AAA membership card, I could take 2
kids for free.  The only downside is that the offer ends the end of this
month, but on the up side, travel is good until Dec. 15th.  Here is the full
article on www.amtrak.com. -- Kelly

Freecycle.org
Visit www.freecycle.org to donate what you have for free and possibly get
what you're looking for - for free.  This is a group of warm-hearted givers
who have started regional yahoo groups.  I joined just a month ago and
already have found people in need of my son's clothes.  Plus, it's a great
way to meet other people in the area.  Enjoy! -- Wendy, 35, from GA

What's Cookin':  Mexican Pizza

1 can refrigerated pizza dough
2 cups cheddar cheese
1/2 can refried beans
1-2 cups taco-seasoned ground beef

Toppings:
taco sauce
sour cream
black olives
shredded lettuce
chopped tomatoes

Bake pizza crust as directed on package. Spread the refried beans on the crust
(warming them in the microwave helps them to spread easier).   Add the taco meat
and then cover it all with the cheese. Bake according to crust package directions
or until cheese is slightly browned.  Offer the toppings at the table, so everyone
can customize their own slices.

Real Moms:  Organization

If you're not using something, or haven't worn something in over a year -
get rid of it. The more stuff you have- the more stuff you have to take care
of. -- Lee, 38, from SC

Plastic shoe boxes are a lifesaver for me.  Everything is stored in them. --

I love lists and I live by them!! Being organized is the key to getting my
daily chores done. Chart it out whichever way works best for you and then
cross them off as you complete them. A feeling of accomplishment can really
make one feel good. -- Kim, 30, from FL
