We're looking forward to a quiet New Year's Eve with friends who have kids too. For those of us freezing in the ice and snow, we found some great deals on winter outerwear. Save up to 90% on coats!! Scroll down for the BEST after-Christmas sales and bargains. Happy New Year! I put 4 cups water and approx. 6 tablespoons cleaner in the container (I used Pine Sol as I was trying to get rid of it and wanted to see if this would work) and the roll of paper towels. When half of the solution is soaked up, I flip the roll over to soak up the rest. When the entire roll is saturated, you have 60 sheets for cleaning for just pennies. I usually use 2-3 sheets at a time on my swiffer, as our messes are usually larger. The lid keeps the roll from drying out. -- Deb, 33, from MN Crafts For those who love to scrapbook, this is an inexpensive way to decorate your Christmas pages. Simply cut off the front page of the Christmas cards that have been sent to you and use them (or parts of them) to accent your pages! I also use any cards sent throughout the year. Much cheaper than die cuts, stickers, etc. And what a lovely way to recycle the beautiful cards and honor the people who sent them by keeping them forever in a memory book! -- Carrie, 26, from GA Post-Holiday Sales The best after-Christmas bargains I look for are holiday-themed everyday items, such as crackers, tissues and air fresheners. I don't care if I'm eating snowflake shaped Ritz in March!! Drugstores usually have the most aggressive markdown schedules due to lack of space, so I visit them often after the holidays. -- Cheryl, 39, from FL We need YOUR tips for our newsletter! I thought this picture was pretty funny, though, and maybe some other moms out there will empathize!" Buy a yearly Christmas ornament for your child with the year on it, but purchase it after Christmas and save 50-75%. 2. Buy your Christmas cards and address them now. 3. Wait until January to buy your family's calendar. You may not get to choose exactly the one you want, but you're likely to find something you like for up to 75% off. This is also a great time to buy non-dated calendars like daytimers/organizers. They make great gifts, too! 4. Look at the pre-packaged holiday gift baskets. You can always disassemble them and use them for other gifts. Place chicken breast in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Season with black pepper to taste. Top each chicken breast with 2 slices of cheese. Mix together the soup and the milk and pour over the top of the chicken. Mix melted butter and bread crumbs together and sprinkle over top of chicken. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake 20 minutes more or until cheese is melted and nicely browned. Note: The gravy is awsome with mashed potatoes or rice. Yummy! Enjoy! I use these for my girls to cover their ears instead of ear muffs or hats. My girls won't keep hats on and the hats on their coats still let air in and chill their ears. They are easy and cheap! My oldest even wears hers at her cold soccer games, since she can't wear a hat. At that price you could buy all kinds of colors to match whatever they are wearing. -- Jenni, 32, from TX I once got two bottles of Oil of Olay for $1.66. Our local drug store had them "buy one, get one free" and I clipped coupons from the local paper for $2.00 off each bottle. -- Mary, 34, from FL I just went to Big Lots and they had a liquidation on stuff from Eckerds and I bought 13 cans of formula that sells for $24.99 for only $7.49. -- Melissa, 24, from FL These great hints came from our Real Mom Profiles. The clearance items that end in 4 (example $1.94) will not be marked any lower, however other ending numbers will. Also, if you look in the top right corner of the red/orange clearance sticker it will tell you the % markdown. -- Jennifer Read the posts or add a comment of your own: http://www.mommysavers.com/discussion/index.php ------------------------------ Your Help Is Needed!
