"Mother love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the
impossible." -- Marion C. Garretty

==============================================================

Hello!

What a week it's been.  Last Monday Nicholas, my 17-month old, spilled water
on my computer, which completely ruined it.  I got a new one the very next day,
only to find it wasn't working either.  To make a long story short, I'm still having
computer problems that will hopefully be resolved soon... my patience is
running out!

Consequently, we don't have a new Picture of the Week and Real Mom Profile
this week.  Hopefully things will be running smoothly later on this week!

Money/Time Saving Ideas:

Make your own baby wipes at home. It's quick and easy, and these wipes are a
fraction of the cost of premium wipes.

Wipes Recipe #1
You'll need:
1 roll of Bounty (or other premium brand) paper towels
2-1/4 cups of water
2 Tbsp. baby bath or shampoo
1 Tbsp of baby oil

Cut the roll of paper towels in half using an electric knife. Mix all the
liquid ingredients together. Put towels in a round plastic container and
pour the liquid over the top. Let the mixture soak through for 5-10 minutes
and pull out the center core. Wipes will pop up through the middle. *Note:
Don't try to save money by using a cheap brand of paper towels. The towels
will disintegrate.

Wipes Recipe #2
Instead of soaking the paper towels in a solution, keep the solution in a
spray bottle and spray the paper towel or a baby washcloth when ready to
use.

What's Cooking:  Spaghetti Pie

1 small box of spaghetti
1 jar of spaghetti sauce
Mozzarella cheese
1 Tbsp. butter
Parmesan cheese in a shaker
1-2 pounds of hamburger
1-2 eggs
Cottage cheese

Cook spaghetti and drain. Once drained, mix the 1-2 eggs (depending on how
much spaghetti you use) with a 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese.  Make a crust out
of the spaghetti in a pan, cook the hamburger drain then add to the crust.

Layer the meat, cheese and cottage cheese till all gone then bake in a 350
degree oven for 15 minutes add more cheese on top and cook till brown.

Let cool and serve.  -- Rebecca, 31, from OH

Top 10 Ways to De-Stress

One mom's ten best way to relieve stress
Submitted by Angel, 38, from California

1. Try to live Simply

2. Take a nice long scenic walk, perhaps the beach or the lake.  (Even
invite a friend)

3.  Put on your favorite music, turn it up loud and dance

4.  Light up your electric simmering (aroma) pot with a softly scented
aroma.  This allows your senses to relax, thus allowing you to relax.  Then
curl up on the sofa with a good book

5.  Sink into your tub for a long, luxurious soak at the end of the day.
Light a nicely scented candles, turn off the lights and let the glow and
scent of the candle relax your mind, body and soul.

6.  Splurge just a little and go in for a professional massage at your local
day spa

7.  Go have a manicure and pedicure done.  (And I truly suggest the Spa
Pedicure - ohh la la!)

8.  How about your favorite movie?  You know the one that just made you
laugh and smile.

9.  Another great idea is your local Coffee Stop.  Especially if it has a
book store.  Grab a cup of coffee or cappuccino and a magazine and just
relax

10. Got a best or very dear friend you haven't talked to in awhile?  Pick up
the phone and call her and reconnect.

Real Moms:  In the Kitchen

Do all of your prep work during the day if possible to save time actually
making dinner later.  While your making breakfast or lunch, get some of that
prep work done! -- Nicole, 25, from OH

Use your crockpot.  There is nothing better than knowing that you do not
have to cook dinner in the evening, but can still have a great home-cooked
meal. -- Shannon, 29, from TX

Quit going to the grocery store constantly because it is what you are used to doing.
Pull together every edible item in your kitchen for meals and don't rebuy in quantity
until the cupboards are truly bare.  Maybe you will have to pick several items to be
able to utilize it all but isn't that better than going weekly and spending $50 or more
dollars because its a habit? -- Lorrie, 48, from MI
