My oldest sister starts the list in October with the names, ages, sizes and preferences of her kids (ex. Alex, 3.5 years, wears 4T, likes cars and dinosaurs). She e-mails it to the next person, who adds her family and sends it on until it is complete and gets mailed back to her. This system simplifies shopping, especially since we set a dollar limit, plus hand-me-downs are always welcome. For example, when my son was starting his Thomas the Tank Engine phase, one of my nephews was losing interest in it, so for Xmas we got a wonderful gift of gently used TT stuff for only the cost of shipping. -- Jennifer from Mt. I sewed his pacifier and 3 other small "teether toys" to each corner of the bib with a piece of ribbon. I made sure the ribbon was short enough so that he could reach the items himself and not be a danger.
