I'm casting an ABC reality show called "Wife Swap" and I need some help finding families. The show is in its second season on ABC, so you may have seen it already. It's not as titillating as the title suggests: there's no "swapping" in any dirty sense. It's actually a nice learning experience for the families that participate. And we offer an honorarium of $20,000 to families that participate. The premise of "Wife Swap" is simple: for two weeks, two wives from two different families with very different values exchange husbands, children and lives (but not bedrooms) to discover what it's like to live a different woman's life. Each participating family has to have two parents, and at least one child over five living in the home. And as it's mainly about the mom, the mother has to be exceptionally interesting, and interested in being on television. Also, each family has to clear a pretty extensive background check. I'm looking for all varieties of families, with extreme, humorous, laid-back, or adventurous moms who might enjoy a chance to be on national network television. We want everyone from ranching families to city slickers, from hard-hat wearing construction-working moms to romance novelists. I have some examples of ideas of what we're looking for, although we need many more as well. We have the following families already standing by, and we need to find their telegenic opposites: 1. We have a family with seven kids, who are all home-schooled and obsessed over by their mother. We need a family where the mother puts her work ahead of her family. 2. We have a conservative family of Christians who raise llamas. Very outdoorsy, very modest, very covered up. We need to find an outrageous family: lots of belly buttons, revealing clothes, not religious, and with no sense of the outdoors. 3. We have a high-achieving family that studies Suzuki music all together, who live for education. We need an "unschooling" family, where video games, tons of TV, and being average are all just fine.
