Money/Time Saving Ideas:

Cleaning
Are you tired of cleaning your toilet every day? Well what I did was get a
toilet brush from the dollar store and put a squirt (1Tbsp.) of Clorox Soft
Scrub w/bleach, and clean the toilet with that. Let it set for an hour or
so. It will amaisingly keep your toilet fresh and smelling good for 2-4
weeks! -- Kristin, 23, from WA

Cheap Shipping
I hate to "rebut" a tip, but using clearance wrapping paper to wrap boxes
for shipping isn't saving money--the post office doesn't want boxes with
paper on them AT ALL and UPS won't even accept them that way. Cheapest
option: use the boxes the post office provides for free, or even the FREE
ebay-branded boxes for your priority mail. To re-use other boxes you only
need to cover the previous label with yours, or you can turn the box inside
out and re-tape it. -- Valerie, 41, from VA

Tax Write-Offs
Each time I go to the Salvation Army or Goodwill store, I bring something to
donate. Each time I go to the library, I donate a book or magazine. This
way, the miles are a tax write off! -- Amy, 31, from GA

Real Moms:  In the Kitchen

My family's favorite dinner is Carrots and Weenies. This was made up by my
Nana during the depression. Take about a pound of carrots and a couple
pounds of potatoes. Boil them until they are mushy. Drain, reserving water
(at least some) and mash until you get a consistancy of mashed potatoes, but
orange!

While this is cooking, take one or two onions, chopped and cook them with
one or two packs of hot dogs (you could substitute sausage if you want).
Cook with a bit of oil until done.  Add enough flour to soak up the oil.
Stirring constantly, add back in the reserved water, slowly, making a
"gravy".  Add salt and pepper to taste. I also like to add some garlic.
Serve the hot dog gravy over the mashed carrots and 'taters. Ok, I KNOW
it sounds odd, but I have yet to meet someone who doesn't like
it!  -- Loree, 31, from Baton Rouge now living in SC
