Money/Time Saving Ideas:

Organization
In my area, there are many great programs and events for kids that are
absolutely free, especially around
the holidays. My problem- I would see an event in the paper or on a flyer at
the library, then forget about
it and miss out. Now I keep a separate calendar  just for activities and
events that I think my family might
enjoy. Anytime I see an event, I jot down the name and time on my calendar.
We don't go to all of the
events, but at a glance I can see what is coming up and plan ahead (instead
of saying- oh, yeah! we missed
it!) -- Jennifer, 38, from SC

Laundry
I love using Clorox Bleach Pens for getting rid of little stains on white
clothing.  But I've always thought they seemed expensive for what they are.
So I created my own version.  I poured a small amount of bleach into a small
plastic cup (I actually used a medicine cup that came with a now empty
bottle of children's cough syrup).  Dip a cotton swab into the little cup
and then you can put the bleach right where you want it.  You can buy a huge
bottle of bleach for what one of those pens costs! -- Ann, 34, from NY

What's Cookin':  Easy Perogy Casserole

9-10 medium potaoes, peeled, boiled and mashed
3/4 pound cheddar cheese, grated
3/4 cup butter or margarine (butter is much better)
2 cups onions, finely diced
9 lasagne noodles, cooked as directed on the package
salt to taste

Boil and mash potatoes, add cheese to potatoes while hot and beat until well
blended. Saute onion in butter until soft. Add 1/3 of the onion mixture to
the potatoes and stir well. Add salt to taste. Butter a 9 x 13 glass pan.
Place 1 layer of 3 noodles on the bottom, then half of the potatoes, then 3
more noodles, then the rest of the potatoes and then 3 noodles on top. Pour
the remaining butter and onions over the top. Cover with foil and bake at
350 degrees until heated through about 30 minutes. Serve with sour cream.
Enjoy!!

Teacher Gifts:  What do you Give?
For some reason I am really struggling this year with what to give. My
daughter is in middle school and they switch classes. Do you still give
gifts and if so what? My son is in kindergarten. The teacher was so
wonderful and really took him under her wing. I'd like to give her something
nice. Any suggestions?

How do you get it all done and still find time for hobbies or hubby or
yourself? How do you keep your house clean, laundry washed, dishes put away
with small children? Is it even possible?
