Money Saving Tips:

Clean Up
For baked on foods pour some baking soda into the dish, add water
to make a paste, and let it sit for 30 minutes or so. The baked on
food will wipe right off with the baking soda. -- Mary Ann, 47, from MI

Wax Paper
To increase your supply of wax paper, save the bags that your boxed
cereal comes in. Cut it to whatever size you need at the time you
need it. Works great!  -- Lisa, 28, from TX

Coupons on the Go
I keep a folder in my car that has pockets on each side filled with coupons not only for
stores but for kids meals, carwashes, video stores, movies, card stores, etc. While I'm
clipping supermarket coupons, I find restaurant coupons too and put those in my car folder.
That way if I'm out and about and have to run into different stores,or if we go out to eat,
I always check my folder to see if I have a coupon! I always have them with me in the car.
My kids always laugh and say, "Check to see if you have a coupon for that!" -- June, 46

NEW!  Blog: The Financial Follies of FrugalJo

This blog will follow the family of Frugal Jo, a stay-at-home-mom of young twins,
as they attempt to save money, spend less, and get it together financially. It will
be honest, real, and hopefully, through their own follies, provide the tiniest shred
of advice, tips, inspiration, or at the very least, a break from the stress that
money places on all families trying to live well on one income.

Be sure to check it out!  Check back frequently to support FrugalJo in her quest
for frugality, and leave your motivating comments to cheer her on!

NEW! Mom's Coffee Break:  Take Time for Yourself!

Milestones:  Confessions of a Crummy Wife by Connie Colwell Miller
I have a confession to make. I??™m not always the best mother. I give in to my
son??™s nightly demands for Disney movies. I don??™t make the boy drink all his
milk at dinner. Let??™s face it: sometimes, I??™m a downright crappy mother.
But that??™s not my confession....

Casting Call:  Moms to Appear on the CBS Early Show

We're looking for a family where their pre-teen or teenager has created a
web page on MySpace.com and has had some problems as a result, ie, bullying,
stalking, predators. We understand that most of the time parents are unaware
of this activity, and often kids don't understand how easy it is to find them.
We are searching for a family that will talk candidly about their experiences.
This story could help other parents. Would also like to hear from families who
believe that these sites have benefitted their kids.

For more information visit:

In the Forums:

Have any of you followed Oprah's Book Club?
I have only read a few books of the book club list but I want to start from the beginning
and read them all. Have any of you read all the books? Are there any that are just too
much to read with kids to take care of all day?

Wedding Regrets
If you could, would you change anything about your wedding?  What would it have been?
http://www.mommysavers.com/discussion/index.php?showtopic=24771

Cropping for Charity - Ideas Needed
I think it would be awesome to organize a scrapbooking crop and call it
"Crop For A Cure!"...but how would I reap funds from this? Obviously, people would
have to pay a fee to come and crop...but what can I offer to make people WANT to
pay to crop? How much of a fee? What else can I offer to reap funds while they're
at the crop? Maybe concessions? ANY ideas would be wonderful!
