I never spend over $10 on each item, that way when an unexpected birthday or anniversary comes up I'm not rushing to the store or spending a lot of money. In fact this year when I looked in the closet to see what I had bought, I had half of my christmas shopping done! -- Christina Decorating Create an occasional table by taking a large plastic garbage can, cutting a wooden plywood circle for the top, and draping with a large tablecloth. Use the garbage can to store blankets, linens, or out-of-season clothes. Coffee I bought an old perc coffee maker at Goodwill for 75 cents and absolutely love using it. I use half as much coffee as needed for the regular drip coffee maker and it makes a richer tasting coffee. Also, there is no coffee filter expense. I purchase an inexpensive brand of coffee beans and grind my own, but I do reuse the grounds the next day by adding about 1/8 cup of new grounds to the day-old grounds. Sometimes I use half good coffee beans and half very cheap coffee for an added money saver. -- Lonna ------------------------------ What's New: Real Mom Profile: Lisa, 35, from Ohio This frugal mom shares her recipe for Banana Stuffed French Toast http://www.mommysavers.com/real-mom-profiles/2.7.2006-lisa.shtml Picture of the Week: "Dress up PJs" Submitted by Joni T.
