"To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the
world." -- Unknown

==============================================================

Hello!

I had a great day thrift-store shopping in Minneapolis with a friend
on Saturday. What a fun getaway; to happily scrounge for bargains in
peace, no little voices pleading, "Can we GO now?"  Plus, I had Greek
food served to me in a restaurant (no Happy Meals) and got to visit one
of my happy places (Ikea).  Pure mommy bliss!

This week everyone seems to be talking about the "Debt Diet" as seen
on the Oprah Winfrey show.  But what do you cut out when you've already
done everything you can think of?  The moms on our discussion board have
some great suggestions.  Even FrugalJo, our resident blogger, chimes in.
Scroll down to check it all out!

Have a great week!
Kim

Money Saving Tips:

Diapering
Tired of those stinky diaper pails?  Use your avid hunter's descent spray
after cleaning diaper pail with your favorite cleaner and water and the
smell disappears!  This has saved me from replacing it several times now.
-- Cindy, age 36

Foam Hand Soap
I had one of those foam soap bottles that ran out. I just refill it with a
small amount of soap (1/3 full) and the rest with water. Shake it really
well to mix together. I can't tell a difference between the original and
what I have been making up. -- Carolina Girl

Bath Time
We bought a clear vinyl shower curtain liner to go behind the cloth one.
When my 2 year old son is in the bathtub, we can just flip the cloth shower
curtain over the rod and close the clear liner.  This way, I can see him and
he can splash to his heart's content - without getting water all over the
bathroom. -- Kari, 32, from Fargo ND

Debt Diet - What to Cut When There's Nothing Left
This whole Oprah debt diet got me thinking.....Where do you make cuts when
there is nothing left to cut? IE; When you already live paycheck to paycheck
and only have the basics, but still only manage to get $10 a month into savings?
Where do you make the cuts to try and get a little more out of your paychecks?
Any thoughts?

Potty Charts
I was thinking of putting up a potty chart in the bathroom and using either
stickers or magnets to show his weekly/monthly progress.  Do any of you have
a template in which I could use to make my own?
Do you know where I can buy a potty chart? I'm cool with doing either. I
just want him to take pride in this every step of the way.

Organizing Kids' Papers/Forms/Records
Ok, I am usually organization goddess and I don't know where to start on
this! I am trying to organize my ds's papers: immunization records, school
papers, social security, etc. - Everything. I want to make a filing system
that will take me through all his years, that I won't have to reorganize as
he grows older.

Entertainment: The Guys of American Idol
Who do you like?  Chris, the rocker; Ace, the baby-faced hottie; or Taylor,
the soulful underdog?
