Mommysavers Newsletter - May 15, 2006 Visit our site for more great resources: http://www.mommysavers.com "Being a mom is like being a triathlete, only much more grueling. So don't even try to be perfect; try to survive." -- Lynnell Mickelsen ============================================================== Hello! I hope you all had a great Mother's Day yesterday. I had a near-perfect day with a little time to myself and then going out to eat with my family. Today I'm dealing with my Mother's Day "hangover" (i.e. doing all the laundry, dishes, cleaning that I wasn't allowed to do on "my day off"). It's back to reality! ;) Have a great week, Kim ------------------------------ Please Visit Our Sponsor: Affordable Dental, Vision, Rx & Chiropractic Plan Limited Time Offer: 3 months for $3 Ends 5/31 Reg. $12 - $20 per mo. Sometimes a guy from my husband's work goes in, too. There are tons of BOGO meals and discounts on everything you can think of: auto, cleaners, sports and events. Plus if you register your book online, there will be coupons you can print. We all live in different parts of a large metro area so we get tons of coupons each that we can use. Plus my mom and sister get the coupons for the area they work in. -- Username Honeybear *Get the 2006 book for FREE when you reserve a 2007 book: http://www.mommysavers.com/deals/entertainment_book.htm One thing we've started to do to save money on restaurant food: take out. We call in the order and my husband will go pick it up. We don't spend money on drinks, tips or dessert. A meal in the restaurant that averages $30 could be as low as $18 when picked up and eaten at home. -- Username Ruby1988 When eating fast food I have been known to order a kids meal for myself. It's big enough to satisfy me. Have you seen the Taco Bell kids meal? It's too much for a kid: 2 soft tacos, cinnamon twist, a drink, and nachos and cheese. -- Username TracyB These tips were posted in our Frugal Living forum: http://www.mommysavers.com/discussion/index.php?showforum=20 ------------------------------ Hot Deals: Amazon toy bargains - save up to 80% $30 Amazon GC when you buy Huggies Free silver jewelry + S/H Mac N Cheese rebate 75% off yoga pants All these deals are posted here: http://www.mommysavers.com/money-saving-ideas/hot-deals.shtml ------------------------------ Visit Our Sponsors: During the month of May, you can join Celebrations by Lillian Vernon for ONLY $49! I am also going to be having our second child in one month so I am not sure that it is the right time to be doing this but I am tired of him being dependent on it. I threw it in before work. Then I came back and shredded up all the chicken, stirring the soup mixture with the chicken. (Don't be shocked when your soup is a little brown. It's okay. Just stir it up together.)
