Also needed are covers for foot and hand cast they can be made out of fleece. On the website they give the sizes and directions on how to make the covers. This would also make a good project for church groups. Thought I would share with you all. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend. One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she could see everything, including her boyfriend. Her boyfriend asked her,"Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?" The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend was blind too, and refused to marry him. Her boyfriend walked away in tears, and later wrote a letter to her saying, "Just take care of my eyes dear." (He had donated his eyes to her.) This is how the human brain changes when our status changes. Only few remember what life was before, and who's always been there even in the most painful situations. " Life Is A Gift " Today before you say an unkind word, Think of someone who can't speak. Before you complain about the taste of your food, Think of someone who has nothing to eat. Before you complain about your husband or wife, Think of someone who's crying out to God for a companion. Today before you complain about life, Think of someone who went too early to heaven. Before you complain about your children, Think of someone who desires children but they're barren. Before you argue about your dirty house, someone didn't clean or sweep, Think of the people who are living in the streets. Before whining about the distance you drive, Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet. And when you are tired and complain about your job, Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job. And before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another, remember that not one of us are without sin and we all answer to one Maker. And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down, put a smile on your face and thank God you're alive and still around. Life is a gift, Live it, Enjoy it, Celebrate it, And Fulfill it. He didn't want his mother to walk with him. She wanted to give him the feeling that he had some independence but yet know that he was safe. So she had an idea of how to handle it. She asked a neighbor if she would please follow him to school in the mornings, staying at a distance, so he probably wouldn't notice her. She said that since she was up early with her toddler anyway, it would be a good way for them to get some exercise as well, so she agreed. The next school day, the neighbor and her little girl set out following behind Timmy as he walked to school with another neighbor boy he knew. She did this for the whole week. As the boys walked and chatted, kicking stones and twigs, Timmy's little friend noticed the same lady was following them as she seemed to do every day all week. Finally he said to Timmy, "Have you noticed that lady following us to school all week? Do you know her?" Timmy nonchalantly replied, "Yeah, I know who she is." The friend said, "Well, who is she?" "That's just Shirley Goodnest," Timmy replied, "and her daughter Marcy." "Shirley Goodnest? Who is she and why is she following us? " "Well," Timmy explained, "every night my Mom makes me say the 23rd Psalm with my prayers, 'cuz she worries about me so much. And in the Psalm, it says, 'Shirley Goodnest and Marcy shall follow me all the days of my life', so I guess I'll just have to get used to it!" The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift His countenance upon you, and give you peace. (Numbers 6:24-26) May Shirley Goodnest and Marcy be with you today and always. In WWII, there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group Of people who dropped What they were doing every night at a Prescribed hour for one minute to Collectively pray for the safety of England , Its people and peace. There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America If you would like to participate: Each evening at 9:00 PM Eastern Time (8:00 PM Central) (6:00 PM Pacific), Stop whatever you are doing and spend One minute praying for the safety of The United States , Our troops, Our citizens, And for a Godly nation. If you know anyone who would like to participate, please pass this along. Someone said if Christians really understood the full extent of the Power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless. Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have.
