Reduce to low, cover. Simmer 10 min. Do not drain. Melt butter in pot on low heat. Stir in flour. Cook 2 min. or bubbles. Gradually add milk, stir till blended. Cook on med. heat till it boils and thickens, stirring constantly. Add cheese, cook till melted, stirring. Add vegetable mix, cook till heated through. ( do not boil ) Can garnish with more chives.
