I know this time of the year is not an easy time for you and your family. I can hardly belive that it has been four years since our beloved Rob went home to be with his beloved Father in Heaven. How I miss him myself. I always looked forward to his e-mail and reading about his funny stories about you and him. He will always have a special place in my heart along with you and your family. I know Kay's sad time is also comming up with the loss of her husband. Also it will be hard on the kids.They also have a special plce in my heart. I hope everyone has a great year and the best to you in school. Love to all, Mary * * I EMPATHIZE WITH YOU, PATSY I know how devastating it can be when a spouse dies. My husband Edward, succumbed to Dementia on Oct. 28th. It was a downhill battle but I recall the happy times we had together. Not a day goes by that I do not think about Edward. Even though he was not with me physically, I manged to enjoy the nursing home Christmas Party this year. I can relate to the other residents and their families and how Alzheimers/ Dementia takes a toll on their lives. Words can hardly express the sadness we feel but I know that we will meet again in joyful reunion. I think that both Edward and Rob would want their beloved wives to survive knowing they are fine and continuing to unfold spiritually while watching over us. The love that binds us will guide us and so I will say, HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Sylvia S. * * Dear Patsy: My name is Chris. I crocheted something simple for you, kay, and your 2 grandchildren. Thank you Sunshine:) (\o/) (\o/) The World is Mine Today, upon a bus, I saw a very beautiful woman And wished I were as beautiful When suddenly she rose to leave, I saw her hobble down the aisle. She had one leg and wore a crutch. But as she passed, she passed a smile. Oh, God, forgive me when I whine. I have two legs; the world is mine. I stopped to buy some candy. The lad who sold it had such charm. I talked with him, he seemed so glad. If I were late, it'd do no harm. And as I left, he said to me, "I thank you, you've been so kind. It's nice to talk with folks like you. You see," he said, "I'm blind." Oh, God, forgive me when I whine. I have two eyes; the world is mine. Later while walking down the street, I saw a child I knew. He stood and watched the others play, but he did not know what to do. I stopped a moment and then I said, "Why don't you join them dear?" He looked ahead without a word. I forgot, he couldn't hear. Oh, God, forgive me when I whine. I have two ears; the world is mine. With feet to take me where I'd go. With eyes to see the sunset's glow. With ears to hear what I'd know. Oh, God, forgive me when I whine. I've been blessed indeed, the world is mine. Faust (\o/) (\o/) Mary's Lamb Mary! Had a little Lamb, His fleece was white as snow. And everywhere that Mary went, The Lamb was sure to go. He followed her to school each day, T'wasn't even in the rule. It made the children laugh and play, To have a Lamb at school. And then the rules all changed one day, Illegal it became; To bring the Lamb of God to school, Or even speak His Name! Every day got worse and worse, And days turned into years. Instead of hearing children laugh, We heard gun shots and tears. What must we do to stop the crime, That's in our schools today? Let's let the Lamb come back to school, And teach our kids to pray! It is said that 86% of Canadian, American & British people believe in God. Why don't we just tell the other 14% to be quiet and sit down????
