I think this is a great project.every year i help out with sending food to our local schools for the same project.but this year it will be a different story for us.because my husband isnt working and the shop where he does work at only gives him $200.a week to live on .after the company takes taxes out of it for a 2 week pay we have 266.plus i have to buy all of insulins,needles and stuff.plus pay for his doctor and hosipal bills.but if my grandson asks me to send in food i will try to do that.cause that is the way i was raised.to help others in need.there are alot of people out there that doesnt have much these days. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and salt. Combine pumpkin, sugar, milk and eggs in large bowl. Add dry ingredients and butter; mix until well blended. Stir in nuts. Pour into greased jars, filling each only 1/2 full of batter. Clean sealing edges of jars. Bake for about 45 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Scald lids and keep in water until used. When bread is done, remove jars, clean sealing edge again, place lids on jars and screw rings on firmly. As bread cools, jars will seal. Store sealed jars in refrigerator. Makes 4 or 5 jars or 1 loaf. NOTE: Can also be baked in a 9 x 5-inch well-greased loaf pan at 350 degrees F for 50 to 55 minutes. --=?¤=-- Santa.....!
