I still remember being a young child and money was so tight that our Christmas dinner consisted of ring bolgna and potatoes. I don't think any child should have to do that. I know so many of the people who get aid receive food baskets from local food banks and churches. I think this year it should be the people who fall just short of receiving these but wouldn't be able to have a nice dinner for their families. I also know that there are many elderly don't have the money for a decent dinner and since their food needs would be only half perhaps some of the food baskets could be $25 dollar baskets for them.
